Three new releases, including Paranormal Activity 2 and Life As We Know It, made the top ten, and the aforementioned entered at number one and two respectively, pushing Eat Pray Love down to fourth place (although still making a healthy $1.23million).
Although Aussie fare Road Train and Summer Coda don’t have the screens to warrant big takings, The Girl Who Played With Fire re-entered the top ten in its fifth week of release, but the surprise was perhaps Les Miserables 25th Anniversary placing sixth with $338,000. Upcoming releases Saw VII 3D, RED and The Social Network should enter strongly.
