Milla Jovovich and Resident Evil: Afterlife couldn’t topple Eat Pray Love, which held on to top spot on its second week – although not comfortably, with heist film The Town hot on its heels ($2.16 and $2.03m respectively). Let The Right One In remake Let Me In fared well on just 150 screens nationwide, and Tomorrow When The War Began re-entered the top 10.
A big number of releases this week may perhaps see Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole slip to make way for Life As We Know It or Paranormal Activity 2. Aussie films Summer Coda and SA-made Road Train are limited releases.
