In Shreds #6

In Shreds #6

By
Dec 13, 2008

In last week’s In Shreds I became a bit of a points whore. I was simply giving them away; Fletch snapped up two whilst  Wendymoon and Elise each scored 1 Point each. It’s not to late to join in and get some points lovin’ this week, but get in quick!

If you don’t know by now, In Shreds is the weekly game where I “shred together” 3 movie posters and you have to guess what they are. Leave your answers as a comment. To help promote more participation, last week I  decided to change the scoring system and it seemed to work well. Now there is 1 point for each film correctly guessed , and a bonus 1 point if you can spot what all three films have in common.  This way there is 4 points each week to give away. As always, I have removed obvious title words from the posters to make it a bit more of a challenge.

Good Luck!

I’m here for my easy two points. :)

    Memento, Eternal Sunshine.

The other, of course, I can’t figure out.

I deliberately made that last one hard just for you Fletch…because I knew you’d instantly get the other two, as always! Any idea of the theme? It’s not as hard as last weeks.

Still 1 poster to go and 1 theme to find…

Good guess. Certainly links those two films, but not the third.
    On the right track though!

Is the third The Sweet Hereafter?

I haven’t seen the movies, so I’m at a disadvantage guessing the theme. But I’ll try: non-linear storytelling?

    Great work Wendy!
It certainly is The Sweet Hereafter…exceptionally well spotted for a movie you haven’t seen.

Also, that answer is so close it’s worth the bonus point. Each film extensively uses reverse chronological order to tell the chief story…which is obviously a form of non-linear storytelling.

    2 points heading your way!
