In Shreds is the weekly game where I “shred together” 3 movie posters and you have to guess what they are. Leave your answers as a comment. 1 point for each film correctly guessed , and a bonus 2 points (this week only!) if you can spot what all three films have in common. As always, I have removed obvious title words from the posters to make it a bit more of a challenge.

Better late than never they say. With that in mind, here is this weeks long overdue In Shreds! Last week Fletch correctly guessed two posters (Memento and Eternal Sunshine) and Wendymoon correctly guessed the third (The Sweet Hereafter). She also scored the bonus point by noticing, apparently without even seeing the films, that all three films strongly use non-linear storytelling methods (reverse chronological order, to be exact). Nice work!

This week is certainly no walk in the park, especially the insanely difficult link i’ve chosen (for this reason, 2 bonus points if you get the link this week). Also, the game will be on hiatus next week due to the holidays!

In last week’s In Shreds I became a bit of a points whore. I was simply giving them away; Fletch snapped up two whilst Wendymoon and Elise each scored 1 Point each. It’s not to late to join in and get some points lovin’ this week, but get in quick!

If you don’t know by now, In Shreds is the weekly game where I “shred together” 3 movie posters and you have to guess what they are. Leave your answers as a comment. To help promote more participation, last week I decided to change the scoring system and it seemed to work well. Now there is 1 point for each film correctly guessed , and a bonus 1 point if you can spot what all three films have in common. This way there is 4 points each week to give away. As always, I have removed obvious title words from the posters to make it a bit more of a challenge.

Due to my laziness it’s been a while since the last In Shreds, which Fletch from Blog Cabins successfully answered, correctly guessing all three posters; Babylon A.D, American History X and Dune. However, no one got the bonus point for correctly guessing the link: the directors of all three films were so unhappy with the final product, they each wanted to remove their names from the films credits (In Dune’s case, director David Lynch even opted to use the infamous alias of discontent “Alan Smithee” for the credits).

Now there is 1 point for each film correctly guessed , and a bonus 1 point if you can spot what all three films have in common. This way there is 4 points each week to give away. As always, I have removed obvious title words from the posters to make it a bit more of a challenge.

I guess I’m in the giving mood this week, with Christmas around the corner and all, because this week’s In Shred’s is possbily the easiest yet!

After stumping the few who gave last weeks In Shreds a go, I’ve decided to make this week’s edition a little bit easier. There is still one point up for grabs from last weeks In Shreds if you can spot the linking theme each three films share. GIven the films are now named, this shouldn’t be too hard!

Last week’s In shreds, which I was hoping would prove to be a bit more difficult than week 1, was snapped up by Evan Derrick like lightning! He correctly guessed the three films Training Day, Philadelphia and Gandhi and spotted the connection they each had – all 3 films won their lead’s a Best Actor Oscar at the Academy Awards. Well done Evan!

If you don’t know the drill, In Shreds is the weekly game where I “shred together” 3 movie posters. 1 point if you can guess all 3 films , and another point if you can spot what all three films have in common.
I can’t work out if this week’s is difficult, but that in itself probably means its not at all. Time will tell!

Last week Luke H from MovieZeal scored 2 points for guessing all three films in last weeks In Shreds and also spotting the link between each film! Great work Luke!

I’m hoping this weeks In Shreds is a bit more of a challenge, as I’ve removed key title words and also unbalanced each shred. See how you go!

It seems to be all work and no play at Cut Print Review. Not that it’s a huge chore to watch and review films (unless it’s Babylon A.D), but i think it’s time we mixed things up a bit. So I’m introducing a new weekly game, inspired by the concept of Fletch’s Stained Glass Cinema over at Blog Cabins, called In Shreds.

Each week the shredder at Cut, Print, Review is force fed three film posters. First person to identify ALL three films shredded is the winner*! For a bonus point, also identify what the three films have in common. Leave your answers as a comment!

For week #1, let’s start off relatively easy….
