In Shreds #3

Last week’s In shreds, which I was hoping would prove to be a bit more difficult than week 1, was snapped up by Evan Derrick like lightning! He correctly guessed the three films Training Day, Philadelphia and Gandhi and spotted the connection they each had – all 3 films won their lead’s a Best Actor Oscar at the Academy Awards. Well done Evan!

If you don’t know the drill, In Shreds is the weekly game where I “shred together” 3 movie posters. [...]

Burn After Reading (Review)

I like to think Burn After Reading came about when Joel and Ethan Coen fleetingly offered roles to those seated between their table and the podium when they went about collecting their multiple golden statues for No Country For Old Men at the 80th Academy Awards. La Regazza Del Lago/The Girl By The Lake (Review)

It’s Relevant #1: Wall Street (1987)

Films are generally about the human condition, and that is part of the reason why they’re so appealing to us. It got me thinking about what’s happening in the world right now and how certain movies come to mind.

This segment, entitled It’s Relevant, will focus on the film most similar to the shape [...]

In Shreds #2

In Shreds is the weekly game where I “shred together” 3 movie posters. 1 point if you can guess all 3 films , and another point if you can spot what all three films have in common.

Last week Luke H from MovieZeal scored 2 points for guessing all three films in last weeks In Shreds and also spotting the link between each film! Great work Luke!

I’m hoping this weeks In Shreds is a bit more of a challenge, [...]
